Coming events cast their shadows before

The proverb is very self explanatory , however understanding the true meaning and understanding the hidden message is of utmost importance. 

Usually any events that are going to occur, the signals of the same in some form or the other is conveyed beforehand. Even nature has its own ways of announcing future events. For e.g. the sky gets darkened with dark clouds, this is a sign that it is going to rain. 

Fisherman can sense storms before they strike. Animals often seem to know things that people don't. Wild and domestic animals have a sense and can very well predict well in advance of any expected disaster in nature. There have been reports of animals sensing devastating earthquake and tsunami before they strike. 

History and past events have indicated that political instability has resulted in fights and wars and disturbances. An argument may lead to disaster. A person may have to face frequent bad health this may be the indication that he is suffering from some major disease. The appearance of comets were considered to be the indications that some unfortunate event will occur in the near future.

Significant events are often preceded by signs that they are about to happen. In the past, people believed in good and bad happenings which preceded events to come. If you pay attention to these, you can generally tell when something momentous is about to happen. There are usually warnings or signals when an important event approaches in your life. 

Hence this proverb is very true. Any indications, we should take it as a warning of the coming disaster or unforeseen event.
