Birds of the same feather flock together

This proverb is  self explanatory. Whenever we see a flock of birds flying in the sky we find that they all belong to the same class. Pigeons, parrots, sparrows, crows, swans and many other fly in their own groups. Animals of the same class also wander in herds or groups. Similarly,  human beings also like the company persons who belong to the same  caste, colour and creed. Birds and animals can live together only in their own groups.

On the other hand human beings have understanding and wisdom so they can choose the company of their own choice. People who have the same sort of character or belief always go together. Usually people make friends with the people of same temperament and aptitudes. They like the company of those who are similar in taste and views and have the common interests. Learned people seek the company of learned thieves seek the company of thieves. Brilliant students like the company of the brilliant students whereas the dullards like dullards. Doctors, lawyers, businessmen and politicians all like the company of their own taste, temperaments and interests.  They all have their unions. Whenever they find any problem they all get assembled at once like the flock of crows and other birds.

This is not only in the case birds, animals and human beings but is true in the case of nations too. Even the nations keep friendly terms with the nations who have the similar ideas and notions.

We commonly notice that persons  who have the same hobbies,  interest, or preference are always found together. They like to participate in the same kind of activities or talk about their common pursuits and you will always see them together. This is what is meant by the proverb ‘ Birds of a feather flock together.

Persons who love to play a certain sport will always be together and will be playing the same sport together. Persons who are avid readers will spend most of the time reading and will have positive vibes with other avid readers. Normally we are not comfortable with some persons, it is because they have different passions and interests in life. We are comfortable and enjoy being in the company of some persons the reason being that we share the same interests and views. A person naturally likes to be in the company of people who have the same interest as they have.
