Blood is thicker than water

Considering the viscosity of the two liquids, blood is having more density then water, there is scientific evidence to prove this. Just as the blood is thicker than water. In real life context blood relations are all the persons with whom we have blood relation and water implies all persons with whom we come in contact. It has always been proved that in times of hardship and trouble we look back at our close  relatives who will definitely help us.

Blood is of thicker consistency and suggests commitment. When blood and water are split the former leaves a stain whereas the water will evaporate.

This expressions when interpreted  it means that our blood relations, meaning that family bonds are closer than those of outsiders. The feeling of joy or sorrow and affection towards our blood relatives are greater than those towards others. When in trouble we find that the family bonding goes stronger.

In our life we come across acquaintances, friends, business persons, such people may be temporary in our life. However we keep contact and touch with our close relatives always. In thick and thin i.e. in bad times and good times we definitely fall back on our relatives and blood relations. We may not rely on friends and  acquaintances always.

This axiom was phrased many years ago. Whether it holds true in today's world is questionable. Instances of murdering one's own kin nowadays is very rampant. The simple reason is that money and power occupies a greater and prominent place in everyone's life. To acquire money a person does not shirk to betray his own kin. Hence this proverb may not sound very relevant today. As human values have fizzled away, here not only blood relations but even acquaintances are betrayed. However this is only an exception. We should try to follow the axiom in its truest sense then we will have a better place to live in.
